Comments: We will take Raft River to Oak Bayou, north to Sand Bayou and into Chuckfee Bay, exploring some of the northern tributaries via Mallard Fork as time permits.
This will be a long day paddle (approximately 20-25 miles round trip) probably not suitable for beginners. Bring all of the essentials: PFD, skirts, and self-rescue equipment will be needed as Raft River can be rough at times. Bring sun screen, bug spray, a ready-to-eat lunch, snacks, and alternate energy sources (gels, bars, drinks, etc.). It'll be hot so bring plenty of drinking water to avoid getting dehydrated.
