May Club Calendar and other notes...(there is a lot here)

BLUZ CRUZ KAYAK RACE RESULTS:
  • Julie - 1st Place in 16ft and under with a time of 2h 59m 2s
  • Roland - 1st Place in 17ft and under plastic boats...also first Australian across the line
  • Brint - 3rd Overall with a time of 2h 17m
  • Dick and Marylin - 1st place in mixed/tandem
The consenus was that this was a great race; a lot of fun, and a great beginners race too. If I missed anyone's race results last night, please let me know and I will post!

The wooden boat built by the Organic School will be on display and available by auction at this Friday's Art Walk...make sure you stop by to check it out!

Looking for water hyacinth, goldfish, duck weed, sunfish, frogs, turtles, papyrus, or anything else to put in a pond/pool, etc? Shoot an e-mail to ersmoore@bellsouth.net ...everything living/swimming in a 20x30ft pond must go before moving day on May 21st.

Club May Picnic and Paddle

Comments: PLEASE RSVP TO AVEN (251)473-1819 to get a headcount and to let her know what you will bring for the potluck dinner, which will start at 6/6:30 PM. Bring your own beverages of choice.

The paddle will start at 3:00 PM and go into a nearby bayou, lasting for 1-2 hours or so, with other options for those who want to paddle a little longer. The paddle will be leisurely and most suitable for beginners with any kind of kayak or canoe.
This will be a great outing to meet your fellow club members and will be well attended, so make plans to come and call Aven and Gary, or you won't know how to get there!!!!
