February Notes and Paddles
March Meeting
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1st, in the Tensaw Theater of the Five Rivers Delta Resource Center. Bruce Coldsmith of Dog River Clearwater Revival will give us the details of the "Launching of the Dog River Scenic Blueway". This exciting event will take place on April 16th.
There will be a mini-slideshow presentation of a fall Ocheesee Pond paddle.
February Meeting Notes
Bob Strader, MBCKC member, was the coordinator for February's meeting and what a great job he did! He presented with a slide-show presentation of his recent paddle from Rice Creek to Bottle Creek (Indian Mounds). Immediately following, Dr. Gregory Waselkov, Professor of Anthropology/University of South Alabama, shared his knowledge of the Bottle Creek Indian Mounds . The history of the inhabitants there was intriguing. Dr. Waselkov also had some very interesting artifacts which were on display for us to see and hold!
