Flash Paddle: Post Fireworks Paddle
Date: Sunday, July 4th, 2004
Launch: Already in the water near the Fairhope Pier.
Time: After the fireworks. If the bay waters are not choppy, as the main paddle group returns back to the Fairhope Yacht Club, I will lead a 2-3 hour night time paddle in the other direction - from the Pier to Point Clear and then back to FYC. I do this every year to avoid the traffic hassles while enjoying flickering lights dancing on the waters and seeing more fireworks set off by shore residents.
Distance: About 9 miles.
Pace: Slow leisurely pace.
