Jeff and Erika Pollock write us:
It is that time of year again for our race. This year we have a new location, The Fairhope Municipal Pier, on Saturday, June 19th starting at 7:00 am. The swim is still 1/3 of a mile, but the water should be waist to chest deep so hopefully struggling swimmers will be able to stand up. We really appreciate your clubs support (especially last year with all the rough water!!!) and hope to see as many of your group out there as possible. Of course all volunteers get a shirt and can come to the post race party. There should be plenty of parking and the swim is parallel to the beach. Kayaks can park in the duck pond area (northern most end of the park). We will need to keep the park roads clear so bikers may come through. Please have any members who are interested in coming contact us at 251-621-3908 or email carotop111@aol.com We ask that Kayaks be there and ready to go by 6:30 am. The swim should be finished by 8:00 am and the race should be over by 10:00 am.

Kayaks will not be responsible for lifesaving (search and rescue will be there). We need you to be there to spot those in trouble or to let them rest for a minute and worst case be pulled so they can touch bottom. Thanks again for your support and please let us know if you have any questions!
