This is just a reminder that the Last Sunset Paddle is still on for New Year's Eve. Meet around 4:00 p.m. at Fairhope Yacht Club. The paddle will be in the bay or creek as best for the weather. This will be a short paddle, allowing time to attend other festivities afterwards. The object is to paddle just far enough off shore to get away from land noise and boat traffic, to enjoy the sunset.

Bring normal safety gear, including a light to be used an needed for safety, such as alerting power boat traffic, not for normal paddling. Also bring your own toast. I'll toast to your good fortune for the coming year, from wherever I will be deep in the circumnavigation of the Okefenokee Swamp at the time. Carolyn will assist as needed on the paddle.

Cheers, Gene.
