The Sierra Club invites us on a Delta Trip on Saturday, September 6-7
The Sierra Club will be conducting its first overnight trip on the recently opened Bartram Canoe Trail in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. We will depart from one of the Landings north of Stockton at 9am and paddle on the scenic waterways to a sand bar, where we will spend the night. The next morning, we will paddle back by a different route, enjoying the variety of vegetation and wildlife along the way. This trip is rated STRENUOUS due to the distance involved, but will be supported by a motorized boat in case of emergency. Bring or rent your own canoe/kayak, camping gear, food and water. Fee. For more information, contact Kevin at wildforest@hotmail.com or 251-928-6231.
