David McNeese writes us:
I will finally get to go on a paddle this Saturday on Soldiers Creek. I live close to there and it is a great paddle very pretty.

I would like to let the members know that I will have the 2 kevlar QCC XL5OO kayaks that are for sale at this paddle. They are welcomed to paddle them if they are interested. If they are not familiar with QCC they can go to the web site at www.qcckayaks.com and get all the info. My kayaks are in excellent condition, garage kept. The price is well below market value, just $1,500.00 each.

If anyone would be interested I would be glad to let them "try" one out.

------

By way of reminder, the Soldier Creek paddle is scheduled as follows:
August 23, Saturday: Soldier Creek
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Place: Meet at the giant strawberry in front of the farmers market east of Elberta, AL on U.S. Highway 98
Contact: Bruce (251) 625-2156 or bzboater@earthlink.net
Comment: Soldier Creek flows south through undeveloped forest land. We will put in at a Baldwin County water access called State Street East access in the town of Perdido Beach, Alabama and paddle north until we are stopped by deadfall trees.
