Flash Paddle: Overnight Trip to Horn Island
Rob Nykvist writes us:

Interested in an overnight paddle to Horn Island? The present idea is to leave Saturday morning from the Pascagoula area (launch site not yet determined) and paddle to Horn Island, camp out Saturday night and then return Sunday afternoon. The paddle is in the Gulf of Mexico across 10 miles of open water. I have no idea if there are a lot of bugs on the island or not.

Current Pascagoula forecast: Saturday North winds 10 knots becoming variable 5 to 10 knots. Seas 2 feet subsiding to 1 foot. A light chop becoming smooth in protected waters. Sunday Variable winds 5 to 10 knots becoming south 10 knots. Seas 1 foot building to 2 feet. Smooth becoming a light chop in protected waters. Temperatures in the 80s during the day, Mid 60s at night.

If anyone is interested in a Saturday-Saturday night-Sunday overnight paddle, contact Rob Nykvist at (251) 455-4699.

As far as I know, America On Line is still not delivering club e-mails to AOL customers. If you are an AOL customer who is not receiving club e-mails, click here to read about the problem and how you may be able to help. If you are an AOL customer who IS currently receiving club e-mails in a timely manner, please e-mail me (Julie) at jrobber@worldnet.att.net to tell me so. I would very much like to know if and when AOL resumes delivering club e-mails to AOL customers.
