A message from your webmistress:
I am happy to report that I am receiving an increasing number of "paddle reports" and "trip reports." I would love to have more. You don't have to be an "artist" to write a trip report; all that's required is a few notes about what you did where.
Please bear in mind that directions to put-ins are welcome additions to any paddle report, as are descriptions of distance and level of difficulty. One of the purposes of a paddle report is to provide information to other paddlers who are looking for new trips and planning new paddles.
Given the increasing number of both trip reports and calendar events on this website, I have decided to build a new, supplemental website exclusively for our "trip reports." From now on, the primary purpose of this website will be to post the club FAQs, the monthly calendar of events, and notices of "flash paddles" and other events. In contrast, our "trip reports" website will be where we share our stories.
Whenever I post a new article on our "trip report" website, I will post a link to it on this website. So to get things started, click here to go to your NEW website: "MBCAKC Trip Reports" and read the first two trip reports posted there, by Frank Laraway, on his trips to Buffalo River National Park in Arkansas and the Boundary Waters in Minnesota.
As always, questions, comments, and suggestions about this website (as well as the new website) are always welcome, to me, Julie, at email@example.com.
